These turntables are so small that they aren't of much use on their own. The max diameter that you could order was 7 inches. If you put a ketchup bottle on the turntable in the centre of the table, turning the turntable wouldn't bring the ketchup any closer to any seat around the table.However, these turntables do work well if I put a large platter/dish on top. I tried this with a large dinner plate and I also tried it with a large cake pan. Anything that sits on top of the turntable can be spun around smoothly. The turntable does not slip on the table surface, and nor does anything put on top of the turntable slip, either.The spinning action is smooth. It stops turning as soon as I've removed my finger from spinning the turntable/platter on top of it. You can't "pump it up" to keep it spinning by itself.The turntable is made of 2 acrylic discs that have ball bearings between them. The acrylic has some flaws in it, in the interior of both discs. They look as if there were torn pieces of saran wrap stuck on the inside that didn't get peeled off all the way. It looks like if I separated the 2 discs to expose the interior surface, I could peel away these bits, but I don't want to risk not being able to put the 2 discs back together properly.Because of these small flaws, I deducted one star.

This is a great size for use in a kitchen cupboard. It's nice and sturdily made, with great rotating motion. I use it to cycle between different vinegars and oils for salad dressing. It's also really useful for BBQs, when the condiments are required.Simple and fairly no-frills, but what would you expect.

These turntables/Lazy Susans are useful for all kinds of things, from displaying home ornaments and plants to arts and crafts. This particular one is very basic, but it does the job.The turntable comes shrink-wrapped, offering little to no protection. Being made of acrylic, I think the chances of it being broken in transit are quite high. Thankfully, mine arrived intact.Construction is very basic. It's essentially two clear acrylic plates with steel ball-bearings inside, connected in the middle by a plastic joint. Be aware that, being clear acrylic, it will scratch extremely easily. Simply putting it down on a surface and placing something on top will result in a scuffed and scratched finish. The acrylic seems rather brittle too, so I wouldn't put anything too heavy on it. Being smooth acrylic, it also doesn't hold onto surfaces very well. I'm not sure why the manufacturer chose not to add some rubber feet on the bottom. I plan to stick some on mine.On the positive side, it rotates quite freely. It's not that smooth though, and makes a very audible noise when you rotate it.Basic is definitely the word for this. It's a no frills turntable, but at the current price of £9.99 it's hardly cheap. Given its price, I would've expected the overall finish to be better and have included some rubber feet, or perhaps a rubber or fabric pad. It's fine, and does the job, but don't expect much for your money.

I ordered this clear acrylic lazy susan base in size 6 inch diameter. The measurement is accurate. It's small and looks like the pictures. I'm disappointed that it came with 2 cracks but at least it still works properly. It's lightweight, simple, and rotates smoothly. You can use either side of the turntable. It would be better if it came with foam or rubber feet/padding. I put some on myself to keep it in place on the table when turning. It's useful for different purposes. You could attach it to the bottom of a tray or display items on it.
